I don't know if it's going to come to fruition or not, but I've been trying to gather as much information about the de Forest Research company for a research project and I was wondering if anyone here had any information about their role on the original series, or could guide me towards books or websites that I haven't considered?
They're mentioned a few times in Inside Star Trek: The Real Story, and, thanks to clips on Youtube, I know that Kellam de Forest shows up a few times in the home video version of that book. Beyond that, I have a few memos and research reports that I found in UCLA's Special Collections (the Gene Roddenberry papers, specifically), although the collection is pretty patchy in this area. I also have the de Forest Research report for Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan from the University of Iowa's Nicholas Meyer papers. Lastly, there's the Memory Alpha entry for Kellam de Forest, which has a little more information: http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Kellam_de_Forest, but that's about it.
Thanks in advance!
