DC Teases Flashpoint

Sounds quite interesting. Since I haven't liked the direction DC has made in the last decade or so. I just might have to pick this up, I LOVE "What If" scenarios as this appears to be part of the plot.

So it's not a crossover with the tv series Flashpoint? Well that's disappointing.

The original teasers from yesterday are on both CBR and Newsarama. There was one for Green Lantern where Abin Sur's spaceship never crashed and one for Superman where Krypton never exploded I believe. Flashpoint is DC's big 2011 event...alongside "War of the Green Lanterns". The Wonder Woman/Aquaman marriage one interests me. Oh yeah there was one for J'onn about him being tortured by Dr. Erdel when he first arrives from Mars.

Looking forward to this as I also like the Elseworlds type stories. Aquaman/Wonder Woman really doesnt make much sense but I'll see what happens.

^ Well it's implied they married for political reasons and it's unfounded to judge if it makes sense or not when we don't know the context of their marriage within the world of Flashpoint. In "Kingdom Come" I believe Arthur makes a comment to Dolphin about not marrying Diana. Also I think Morrison's JLA run dealt with the two of them.

Hmm, Jay, Wally/Barry, and Bart... hope the JSA gets a prominent place, even if it has apparently been going downhill. :techman:

UGH. I was looking to this until I found out it was an alternate reality storyline. I am seriously sick to death of those. They don't "count" in the larger story. I didn't like House of M either, felt like a huge waste of a crossover.

To be fair we're not sure what kind of impact Flashpoint is going to have. While it is true that it seems to take place in an alternate reality I'm guessing it has some kind of impact on the DCU. Marvel is doing Age of X, DC has Flashpoint. While I'm interested in both...what I am really waiting for is Geoff Johns and Grant Morrison's long promised "Multiversity".

Is there actually a release date or an artist? They've been nebulously talking about this since Final Crisis ended.

No release date yet. I'm guessing summer time though. The teasers had 2011 on them. I suspect we'll start getting more info in the spring time.
