http://daytonward.wordpress.com/2014/11/01/back-cover-text-for-armageddons-arrow/It is a new age of exploration, and the U.S.S. Enterprise is dispatched to “the Odyssean Pass,” a region charted only by unmanned probes and believed to contain numerous inhabited worlds. Approaching a star system with two such planets, Captain Jean-Luc Picard and his crew find a massive alien vessel, drifting in interstellar space for decades. Sensors detect life aboard the derelict—aliens held in suspended animation.
Thought to be an immense sleeper ship, the vessel actually is a weapon capable of destroying entire worlds…the final gambit in a war that has raged for generations across the nearby system. Captain Picard is now caught in the middle of this conflict and attempts to mediate, as both sides want this doomsday weapon…which was sent from the future with the sole purpose of ending the interplanetary war before it even began!
Ooh, new region of space, a mysterious alien ship with a hidden agenda and even a bit of the timey-wimey thrown in. All the makings of a Trek classic!

It sounds great, but the last few things by either Dayton himself or the stuff he did with Kevin were not that great. I loved their work on Vanguard, but Paths Of Disharmony and Peaceable Kingdoms were not that stellar IMO. Still good, but not as good as their Vanguard novels. And the second Seeker novel also didn't quite do it for me.

Yeah, I agree. I was especially disappointed in Peaceable Kingdoms. Still, this sounds like it could be a solid, old-school romp. I'll give it a shot.
An Enterprise crew driving the DTI insane as usual? I'm sold.![]()

Is it confirmed that the DTI is involved?

No, all we have is the blurb; I think they were just making a joke.![]()

Indeed. After all, the DTI don't have to be involved in the actual story, but they would almost certainly get an after action report on the matter once everything is resolved.
