I didn't mind the first movie, bit of fun, bit of mickey taking (Colin Firth walking around in a wet shirt a la Mr Darcy), bit of girl on girl violence.
As for Russell Brand, meh. Didn't know who he was, didn't care, thought Tennant could have done that role (the equivalent of George Cole) a lot better. He isn't in it so much that it ruins the film overall.
And it makes me feel like a dirty old man, but my goodness, the amount of totty on display! (and that's exactly the effect the producers were going for, believe me). I canb't blame Tennant for wanting to spend three months or whatever standing around in that.

What? Sarah Connor AND Miss Evangelista were in that... thing? That ALMOST makes me care... except I'm very much on wamdue's side re Mr Brand. So ignorance remains.

I don't get why people care, watch the film and if he ruins it then wow you saw a bad film, if he isn't that bad then what have you lost? Fuck all.

And don't forget he insulted Manuel... which no one gave a shit about until the tabloids stirred the pot.
In fairness on the few times I've caught snippets of his act he has been funny, but I have friends who once saw him live and said he spent almost the entire gig going on about how many women he'd shagged, and pointing out all the girls in the audience he was going to shag.

I don't particluarly like the guy, but some of his material is funny. And I agree about that not being funny at all and the reaction being overblown.

Which is why I was so dismayed with Barney Stinsen on How i met your mother, that first he had never had a threesome, and that he had only slept with his 200th woman just 1/2 way through the recvently finished seaosn and he made such a big deal about it. Patrick on the other hand could go through 200 a month, Fonzie 400 a month, Joey from Friends topped a thousand by his 15th birthday, meanwhile after just finished the last two seasons of Quantum leap I do believe it's possible that Sam Becket might live to snog every woman on earth through out all time.
