"Doctor Who star David Tennant and Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding are joining the cast of the new St Trinian's movie, it has been confirmed.


The pair will star alongside Rupert Everett and Colin Firth in St Trinian's II: The Legend of Fritton's Gold.


Tennant, 38, whose role as the Doctor will be taken over by Matt Smith, will turn from hero to villain - playing a character called Pomfrey, who has sidekicks from a women-hating secret society."

Hey, remember the original St Trinians movies - George Cole, Frankie Howerd, Alister Sim?
If this one doesn't feeature Russell Brand, it might be good!

there is plenty of cheesy & lightweight in Doctor Who, there are entire web forums that prove that point.
 
Have any of you actually seen the first new St Trinians movie?

Stephen Fry was Hilarious, but I loved all the 11 year olds running around like it was lord of the flies. besides it hd loads of Rpurt Everet and Collin Firth making out. What's not to like about that? Two seven foot blooks casting off on an expedition to circumnaviagate each others tonsils?

It mostly started that deadgirl Miss Evangelina(sp?) from Silence in the Library, so who knows maybe she and davey still talked?

Then of course this is a property that Russell brand has a toe hold in.

Its a nice kiddy movie, and a hell of a step up from Harry Potter which is something Davey was up to before NuWho. :)
 
Why do girls like Russell Brand he needs a hair brush.

I didn't know who Russell Brand was at the time I first viewed it, but I wondered why everyone seemed so bloody reverent of such a tosser?

The closest US Equivalent I got is that the first move was Hogans heroes meets Ocean's 11 at a Girls Boarding School.

Besides, it's nice to see TV's Sarah Connor with something closer to her real accent.

Sarah connor's in it? Cool, if onluy Summer Glau was I'd definitely watch it...summer glau dressed as a aschoolgirl...oh dear, I'm not going to get any work done now :drool:
 
The original films are classics, I watch them every Christmas eve whilst preparing the christmas dinner.

The new one wasn't a bad effort it had Miss Evangelista from Forest of the Dead and Silence in the Library in it.
