Dave Stern?

Whatever became of him? I really liked his Daedelus books as well The Children of Kings. He seems to have disappeared after that.

Dave Stern was a Star Trek editor before John Ordover.

ISFDB shows a small bibliography of novelizations & tie-ins from Stern, primarily between 2000 & 2010. Nothing in the last decade.

Being a freelance writer became enormously more complicated in the last 10 years, and scores of mid list writers stopped getting work after the publishing industry imploded during the Great Recession.

It’s possible Stern re-branded himself and is publishing under a different name, but ISFDB is generally good about tracking that stuff, so it’s more likely he’s moved on to another career outside F&SF.

I found a podcast interview from May 2017 with Dave Stern that links to his Facebook, that shows him posting just yesterday and is very active there. In the podcast, he talks about looking forward to Discovery, but I can't find any information on what he's doing now. He lists himself as a writer on Facebook, but, of course, nothing professionally published since 2011.
