From about 1999 to 2005 there was a German fan film in production called 'Das Vermachtnis' [The Legacy], which was covered on Trekkies 2 by Denise Crosby. This was to be a full-whack TOS/TNG crossover.
The film completed principal photography however during the editing project, due to personal reasons, the film was abandoned. Vulcan Willi, who played Spock, said the director believed it would never be completed by 'the grace of G*d'
It looked amazing - a full Klingon Bridge, bridges for two Enterprises - including Young Kirk and Movie Spock on the Enterprise-D, Q, a professional Spock lookalike, a shuttle and more. The costumes were great and production values looked high. The one negative is that the guy playing Worf seemed 'blacked up', even though they had a black actor playing LaForge.

Do you guys remember it, and could it have been perhaps one of the best ever? i still lament it's loss, if the footage still exists maybe it could be revived someday (if they didn't complete it privately)! (it started pre-guidelines so is immune)
