To Save Soldiers, DARPA researches Suspended Animation

Darpa is investing nearly $10 million in creating a medical cocktail that will suspend soldiers' animation after sustaining wounds in battle, reducing their need for oxygenated blood and keeping them (barely) alive until they can receive proper treatment.
