You hit it out of the park with this one, DarKush. A very well done send off for Nyota that captured perfectly Terrence's grief and regret. Also, as Gibraltar pointed out, we see up close how the Cardassians were their own worst enemies--they embraced a tiger by the tail in the Dominion and in the end it consumed them.

And Laurent...his hatred of Terrence has him conspiring with the enemy. Obsession is a dangerous thing.

I am learning slowly that Dark means Dark. Not milquetoast, not semi-dark, not light-hearted, not frolicking.

Oh well, the main difference between humans and rats is that after learning a maze with a food reward at the end, when the food disappears, the rats will eventually look somehwhere else.

DarKush, you tend write stories that tend to make one think...This one is no exception. Enjoyable, yes, but also with depth.
