Dark Matter, SyFy's new space show, premieres June 12th

It's the same actor (the voice alone was a dead giveaway even before they showed his face), but he's wearing more eye makeup.

Being clones is one way of explaining their lack of memories. Though they did retain certain skills (fighting, technical).

It's pretty well established by this point that their memories were erased by a program released while they were in hibernation. Five has a memory of doing that, though she doesn't know whose memory it is.

So the clone technology clones all the memories as well (lol) and someone has to erase them to get these clones back to basics personality traits with no baggage?

Or maybe the other ones are the clones.

Early in the episode Two asked the android for a favor and to keep it quiet, but we never saw what that was. I was thinking that the whole emergency would turn out to be faked, perhaps in an effort to make the crew get to know each other/work together, sort of like a Locked in a Room episode. But in the end there was no evidence of that, so now I'm wondering what Two asked the android to do.

I though we did see what it was. My impression was that the favor was to keep quiet about something Two wanted the Android to investigate, but then the emergency forced them to tell the others about it anyway, so the favor was rendered moot (though I can't remember now what it was).

Tonight's episode: Episode Four
TV Guide said:
The past comes back to haunt members of the crew during a stopover at a space station, during which Four makes a stunning discovery, while Two and Five learn that some games of chance come with surprising risks. Elsewhere, Six receives some unwanted attention at a local clinic; and One and Three's attempts to sell the weapons in their cargo hold lands them at a dangerous disadvantage.

They faked us out with that commercial for the vacation-clone thing. I was wondering if maybe they were all clones, but they can't be, since they've been awake more than 2-3 days. Still, it does establish that the technology for recording and transferring memories and personalities exists. Anyway, it's a nice bit of futurism. (Although the medical receptionist's keyboard was not futuristic at all. And was she an android?)

And now we know who Four really is -- but in exchange, we know even less about One than we thought.

And why is it that, of the three Syfy Friday shows, the only one that isn't TV-MA is shown the latest? It used to be that 8 PM was the hour for family shows, while more intense material was saved for later when the kids had gone to bed.

they are all hanging on to their secrets. No one is sharing although 2 pairs know something new about each other, somewhat.

Saw it, liked it. Want more.

The sets were great, if overly dark (the norm for spacey stuff these days). Clever re-use of similar sets (cargo bays, quarters) by swapping out lights and some background panels. The bridge is pretty cool, but a little Power Rangers-esque in presentation. Pre-pro designs actually had the three centre consoles as a single unit, with a couch / bench on the lower level (think Liberator from Blake's 7). Would have liked to see that maintained. There are various sketches about the net of how much they thought out the ship's layout, deck plans et. al, to a "Firefly" level of detail. I'm looking forward to seeing more of it.

I think it has potential but the second season once they make adjustments from the lessons learned will determine its make or break future.
Like Stargate Universe they need to add some lighting to the shipboard scenes. It is like they are using darkness for a cover like Pacific Rim and other movies have been using a rain storm.

But I was thinking hard about Blake's 7 as I watched it unfold. I was thinking prisoners as the cast was being reveled and with them being relatively good to a worse government. Then there are six of them plus an AI just like Blake and his plus Zen
