Danger Man...

I found The Prisoner to be deeply weird. Sometimes I thought it quite smart and other times I thought WTF.

I always took The Saint as British.

I'm almost twenty episodes into Danger Man and it's grown on me. It definitely gets better as it progresses and I find the hal-hour format makes it quite digestable.

It's hard to see Danger Man as a direct counterpoint to the Bond films and The Man From U.N.C.L.E. when you consider Danger Man premiered two years before the Bond films started coming out.

So far I've watched three episodes of the second season. It's quite different. Drake is more British and definitely working for British Intelligence. The show is edgier, even darker than before when it seemed more adventure oriented. The hour long format allows them to tell more fleshed out stories and avoid the abrupt endings characteristic of many of the half-hour first season episodes.
