I am new to this board, but have been around the boards for many years. I have run many a board over time. I have been (and am serving currently as) an Administrator, Super/Global Moderator and/or Moderator on a few boards.

After serving as a Dean and as an Administrator for my University's computer network; I have been named Dean Emeritus.

Some of you, I am sure know me, as I have always used this same name. Others, I look forward to meet you. I feel a stranger is a friend I have not yet met.

Farquard, if you will look at the top of this forum, you will notice our official welcome to the board thread. This has been set up in order to make sure that your post gets noticed and responded to by the largest possible number of regulars.

We normally would close these and refer you to posting in there but, it's been a while since we've had one of these and you are new, so I'm going to let this one run for a while.

Hope you have fun on the board here and don't forget to check out the lounges at the bottom of the main page. We've also got a forum for a more spirited (politics, controversial) discussion, but you're going to have to look into the thread in the QSF forum in order to get in to that forum.

Yes, it is around, mostly in the BSG "arena". But I do have a few ST images in my graphics server looking for a new home.
