Damn, you're delicious, karma!

I would just like to share some news I became aware of today. You may recall that my employment with RadioShack was terminated back in January due to some completely bogus claims that I was stealing money from the store cash register. I was innocent of the crime, but the company figured that the only evidence...the fact that my time sheet matched up with when the money went missing...was enough to dismiss me.

Well in the meantime, I've found new employment (which pays FAR better and is closer to what I enjoy doing) won an appeals case against RS when I applied for unemployment benefits (the judge found that I in no way committed any misconduct) and got a check for about $100 in relation to a class action suit against RS for not reimbursing employees for travel time using their own vehicles for company use. However, the best development has to be this: My former manager at RadioShack is now...a former manager of RadioShack. He's been fired for...shockingly...theft.

The person passing this news along didn't know what he had been taking, be it merchandise or money...but I'd guess it would be the latter. My assumption is that he was taking the money while I was working there, forged entries on my timesheet to frame me and has continued taking money ever since and it has finally caught up with him.

I've never been one to experience joy at the cost of someone else...but this guy was a total jackass, ill-suited and undeserving of his job and for how he treated me, I wouldn't piss on his head if his hair was on fire. All I can say is...payback is a bitch. The only way I would be happier about it is if I had had something to do with it.

Congrats! It's always gratifying to see when the universe hands out a little righteous justice to those most deserving of it. It happens rarely, but when it does, definitely worth the wait! :techman:

What a douche. I wouldn't call it karma though necessarily, obviously such behaviour had to catch up with him sooner or later, at some point he had to run out of scapegoats...

Sweet! Do you know who caught him stealing? Do you think they'd be willing to investigate MY manager?

I know there is some satisfaction for you now, just sucks that it comes after being fired. They probably opened up an investigation of him after your whole fiasco.

On a side note, I'm rooting for your Giants to win against the Phillies.

I knew someone who had a similar 'firing'. Bascially, the manager accused them of stealing and said 'we won't call the police if you quit'. Well that isn't suspicious at all, is it? So this person said 'cool, call them.' Funnily enough, they didn't, and this person is still employed by the company today. Except that he's now the boss of his old manager.

Funny, I'm rooting for the Phillies to win against the Giants.

Are you a Phillies fan? I'm not rooting against the Phillies but for the Giants. As a Mets fan, I have the up most respect for the Phillies. I just would like to see a Yankees/Giants World Series like the days of old.

Funny... something similar happened to me! I was super careful with money when I worked at cash, and yet it would go missing! I was getting performance reviews just good enough to keep me, and when the mgmt would say, your money needs to be perfect today because it's been off so much lately... that day it'd be perfect! I couldn't figure it out, I mean, everyone makes mistakes- but this was really weird.

A while after I left, it turned out that the head mgr. was investigated for theft by head office, but they couldn't prove it, and then he left. I thought I was losing my mind at the time! >.<
