Damn You, Murray Gold!

I love Murray Golds music emensely, but for gods sake, please release something new already for use fans to buy and enjoy.

I do like his Eleventh Doctor theme. I've not always been Gold's greatest fan, but he seems to have been reined in somewhat this series, and it's the better for it.

I don't so much think it's that Gold has been reigned in as that he seems to have intentionally adjusted his scores to reflect the new emotional tenor that Moffat's writing has established, which is noticeably different than RTD's. Moffat is a bit more subdued than RTD in his writing style, and Gold's work reflects that.

I love the Eleventh theme. Its not as swoopy as Tens was, its faster and louder and more erratic, just like Eleven is.

Golds music was awful in seasons 1 and 2, but improved as it went on. However recently, he seems to have reverted back to his old ways. I found it quite difficult at some points in felsh and Stone to hear the actors due to the music just being, well, there over the top of the dialogue.

Love the new theme, and the new Doctors theme. :techman:

Interesting -- I think it's the exact opposite; I find that Gold's music is much less noticeable this season compared to Three and Four and the Specials.

On the issue of dialogue I sometimes have issues even when there isn't music being played so I'm not sure it's just the musci itself so much as the overall soun balance.

Or maybe I just need to clean my ears out...
