D7 and K't'inga bridge location

I know that we never saw the bridge of the D7 in TOS, but we all got a good look at the bridge of the K't'inga the
follow on class to the D7. On the TMP blueprints of the K't'inga the bridge location is wrong, was this a mistake made when labelling the blueprints?

What Probert shows is pretty much were I suspected the bridge module to be. I don't see where else it could be at.

I think that's where it was in the KHG game as well, where you could walk all around the ship, inside and out :D

I have always believed the red windows in the tower structure is the bridge of the K't'inga.

Then again, the interior in TMP has no portholes visible, so how is the red light spilling out?

But as seen in not just the blueprints but the movie itself, the set also seems to feature a high bay at the rear, above the swiveling chairs. Perfect for the tower structure and its putative portholes...

I gather the original Jeffries idea was for the prominent tower to be the conning structure, and Probert took those lemons and squeezed them into the intriguing set we see in TMP, by relegating the uninteresting and confining round turret into some sort of a secondary role and allowing the lower, wider part to be used for the action.

Perhaps many Klingon ships would have a dedicated fighting bridge (the one used in normal conditions!), and a separate navigation bridge - and the latter is the round thing atop the battle cruisers, but also the round thing that Kruge uses for commanding his BoP which additionally has a classic fighting bridge down below...

I can't prove my statement about where the bridge is on the K't'inga but those ports on the tower remind me of the Enterprise-A bridge when the ship is first seen in ST IV TVH.
You're right Timo, there is an observation deck above the the bridge except the ports were closed during battle.

This is another case where TMP informs us on how to treat the TOS equivalent. The two ships are almost identical in structure so the bridge being in the same location makes sense.
