Has anyone heard of or does anyone here play this on-line strategy game? Here's the link: http://www.cybernations.net/default.asp
Basically, it's very similar to NationStates.com, but this is a lot more dynamic and detail-oriented, like a Sim City game. It's almost like a combination of elements in the Civilization game series and Sim City 4 (but CyberNations isn't a simulation game per se). There's warfare as well as managing your government's economy, infrastructure, military, technology, and resources. The gameplay is free; you just register, create your username, password, country and preferences and join groups (alliances).
If you decide to join, feel free to look me up. I'm Gryffindorian and my nation's name is Antares Nova.

There are certain elements or factors you need for your country that you can buy (e.g., Land, Military, Technology, Infrastructure), and the revenue comes mostly from the taxes. Maybe some players are lucky enough to get foreign aid from other governments. Technology is very expensive (at least 10,000 points), and buying Military components like Tanks, Cruise Missiles, and Nuclear Weapons cost a lot of points and you'd have to have a certain Technology level (which requires a lot of money) and Infrastructure (which also requires a certain population, Technology level, and money). So all these things are interdependent, but acquiring one thing is almost impossible if you don't have the resources.
