CW The Flash Season 7 trailer!

I am very happy to hear that as well. Nice to have him continue as the character even after his series ends. The Flash seems the most appropriate place.

Rumor was started on Facebook before that Black Lightning episode aired with the Flash’s off camera assistance that Grant was going to appear. Never shared that because with Covid that seemed unlikely due to the quarantine Grant would have had to go through to go to Atlanta and back to Vancouver. But it’s possible that was the original plan.

Also I had heard the main reason Black Lightning ended early was Cress Williams did not like filming in Atlanta. His comments here are the first that seem to back that up which I have seen.

The reason for the sort-of crossovers is that as schedules still are effected by Covid there will only be five episodes of Season 8 in 2021 so they wanted to make them extra-special.

Best part of this episode was all the flash visual effects. God I've missed that a lot.

Everything else about this episode felt kinda corny. It was better than last week, but the stuff about family is kind of eye-rolling, and the story with Frost was just kinda dropped in this episode and it was like the writers forgot all about it and just ended it because it was the finale. I really wanted Frost to have a redemption arc, but that arc I guess happened off screen. My favorite stuff this season had to do with Frost (especially the trial episode) but this ending just felt sudden and not rewarding enough.

I'm hoping the back half of the season might tug at the emotional heart, especially with Cisco leaving and the special episode coming up. I really hope the writers might have gone back to rewatch season 1 and realize the kind of thing that made Flash a good series and try to reignite that. I doubt it, but it's a new story, Cavanagh and Valdes are leaving the series, and we have a special speedster story coming up. Anything is possible.

I am glad this arc is done. Nothing with these Forces makes much sense or is very interesting to me. I never been much a fan of the Speed Force as a person. Even if it’s inspired by the Profits on DS9.

Good thing from spoilers and announced info future storylines for the rest of this season and next season sound much more promising.

With these cast members departing I wish they would completely reformat the series. Though I am not exactly sure what that would be. First idea, take the focus away from Star Labs. With no Wells or Cisco that location, set is going to seem very empty. Especially with weak replacements like Chester. They do not need to eliminate Star Labs completely. But would be nice to see more of Barry as a Cop and Iris as a reporter.

I thought it was a fairly interesting and effective resolution. I liked the way they paid off the "family" theme by having the Forces come together as a family and the other three get through to Nora. The visuals of the abandoned city and the way the sound just dropped out were very potent. It was a clever way to make use of what I assume must be footage filmed during the pandemic lockdowns.

It was obvious from the start that the Iron Heights breakout was going to be Frost's path to a get-out-of-jail-free card, though it's too bad they didn't have the budget to show her fights with more than just the annoying Chillblain guy (in what I think was the tunnels under the stadium redressed with tech gizmos and with "LAB" over the gate signs). And they're still totally nerfing her powers, reducing them to just puffs of dry-ice vapor instead of the solid ice constructs she used to make. She could've frozen his feet to the ground in two seconds, or trapped him inside walls of ice until the police could collect him.

They did make a make. Wells was watching a new episode of the West Wing. I am assuming the episodes were he actually did gets his pills mixed up and was acting loopy in the Oval Office but the establishing shot showed it to be sunny thus in the middle of the day when new episodes of course would air in prime time.

Mayhaps he taped it the night before?

While Superman's ratings have been recovering, the Flash in big trouble suddenly, particularly in the demo ratings. The 5/18 episode was down 22.73% and the 5/25 episode was down 41.18%. Also the season premiere's demo is 50% down on last year's finale. The time has come to wind down the Arrowverse. Keep Superman going because it might as well be in its own universe anyway, but thats it.

They're pretty meaningless as a measure of any CW shows success anyway, since they get most of their views outside of the initial TV airing.
The question is - how does that monetize. cw.com certainly doesn't monetize worth a crap, since they sometimes spam the same ad 5x in a row.

It’s not good when you find yourself asking “What am I watching?”. Definitely should’ve watched this before S&L.

This was my favorite episode of the season. Great send off for Cisco and I'm really going to miss him. I teared up a few times, the scene where Barry and Caitlin reveal their true feelings and the highlight package. I think the only thing I would have liked would have been an appearance from Wells, but that is relatively minor.
