CW network working on Batwoman series

My biggest worry for this series is the lack of rogues that might be available. I would imagine all the Gotham rogues are out at least for another year or two and that show has burned through a good number of them. Batwoman just doesnt have that core baddie to balance her out unless you count her sister. Of course the DC universe has many hundreds of evil doers she could fight. Time for the Black Spider to make an appearance

Well, the Arrowverse shows have mixed and matched villains before. Look at all the Batman villains Team Arrow has faced. And Supergirl has drawn heavily on the Superman and Legion of Super Heroes mythoi for villains and supporting characters.

Hey, if the show is set on Earth-38, maybe Batwoman could face some doppelgangers of now-dead Arrow foes.

If there's one thing that isn't lacking in the city of Gotham it would be the villains... ;)

I don't think they'll be taking the show Gotham and what they have or haven't done into consideration at all when choosing who to feature on the show.

There does seem to be a loose DC/Warner Bros policy to avoid having competing live-action versions of the same character at the same time, which is why we haven't seen the adult Batman on live-action TV as long as they keep making Batman movies, and why Arrow's Suicide Squad was phased out to make way for the SS movie. Gotham has reused a few characters previously seen on Arrow, most prominently Ra's al Ghul, but only well after the Arrow versions were killed off. So if Batwoman does use any Gotham characters, it won't be until Gotham is done with them.

Though even as I typed that, I remembered -- isn't Gotham ending soon? In which case the characters might be free and clear for use.

She spent a lot time fighting the Church of Crime in her first few years. Maybe they can do something with that?

Or maybe The Many Hands of Death?

Besides, now is not the time to speculate who will be the villain on the show.
Now is the time to speculate who will be the villain in the crossover! ;)

There are only a handful of Kate's adversaries - Anarky, Bane, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, Lincoln March, Penguin, Riddler, and Rupert Thorne - whom she 'shares' with her cousin Bruce, so she has more than enough of a Rogues Gallery to pull from for her solo TV series.

^ It's not a "fandom" issue because it wasn't fans of the Batwoman character telling Ruby she wasn't "lesbian enough" for the role; it was loud trolling voices from within the LGBT community who made the issue about her (Ruby Rose's) sexuality, not the character's.

In this specific instance, yes, perhaps. But, I was speaking to the other moments as well, where fandom have turned on actors who have been cast.

So I've been thinking which Gotham villain could possibly stand up to the combined might of Supergirl, The Flash, Green Arrow, Batwoman and Superman... and really, there's only one possible choice:

Have they used Dr. Destiny (AKA: "Not-At-All-A-Skeletor-Cosplayer") yet? Seems like a villain that attacks through dreams would be a logical way of having them able to overpower the likes of Supergirl without making a Bat-Family type's inclusion seem unnecessary. Indeed, the kind of mental fortitude/damage most of them have, they might intrinsically have the upper hand.
