After spending years fighting alongside masked heroes, Diggle (Ramsey) embarks on a new mission to recruit five young meta humans to live undercover as freshmen at a prestigious university. There he will oversee their education and train them to become the heroes of tomorrow. The show is based on characters from the DC pantheon.
I've always liked Diggle, but I've taken a pass the last couple of seasons on any Arrowverse series that aren't at least Superman-adjacent. So I guess I'll be waiting to learn who are the "five young meta humans" he'll be mentoring.

Just as well the CW is up for sale and likely to get out of the original series business if this is the best idea they have left.

Wow, that's unexpected. I'm glad to see Ramsey/Diggle getting a starring vehicle, though it's disappointing that there's still no overt mention of him being a Green Lantern.

I wonder who the students will be. Maybe Static might be one? I kept hoping they'd introduce him on Black Lightning.

If this is picked up, Ramsey's Diggle has a shot at becoming the Frasier of superhero TV.

Static has the problem of DC/WB not owning the character outright, and there's already a movie version in the works from Reginald Hudling and Michael B. Jordan. Doesn't exclude the possibility of him appearing in DC live action shows, but it makes it unlikely.

There are several other potential teen characters from DC, with a lot introduced just in the past few years, especially in the Teen Titans books (the current Teen Titans Academy alone has added a whole bunch of new teen superhero potentials. Personally, I'd like to see Crush.

I watch all of the Arrowverse shows so I’ll be adding this one to the list. I too would have liked to see him as a green lantern but I’m happy Diggle is getting his own series

Doesn’t sound very interesting. I suppose it’ll be in the execution.
I assume this proposed GL show for HBO Max won’t have him in it?

IDK, from what I've heard on the Young Justice grapevine, Warner do have the TV and film rights to the Milestone characters, it's just the comic book rights that are complicated/limited (for example Icon & Rocket (all seasons), Static (Season 2+) and Hardware (Season 3+) all appear on the show, but there were issues regarding the first two appearing in the tie-in comic which resulted in their removal after one issue).

I guess a Diggle and the Outsiders show is out of the question.

We already got a number of the Outsiders on Black Lightning -- BL himself, of course, and very revisionist versions of Grace Choi, Looker, Geo-Force, Halo, and Technocrat. They even had a team called the Outsiders there in the third season, though its membership was rather different from the comics' version.

A number of Outsiders appeared on Arrow, including Katana, Arsenal, and Huntress. There was a company named Metamorpho Chemical in season 2, but that's as close as we ever got to Rex Mason.

I think they already said a long time ago that it won't star Diggle.

Diggle has always been one of my favorite Arrowverse characters, so I'm all for him getting his own show. I'm not bothered by the teen heroes aspect, I watch quite a few teen dramas.
