No. I'm not Out Of My Vulcan Mind. But I thought this would be interesting to the five people that still watch the CW.

Monday
8 p.m.: Gossip Girl
9 p.m.: One Tree Hill

Tuesday
8 p.m.: 90210
9 p.m.: Melrose Place

Wednesday
8 p.m.: America's Next Top Model
9 p.m.: The Beautiful Life

Thursday
8 p.m.: Vampire Diaries
9 p.m.: Supernatural

Friday
8 p.m.: Smallville

Looks like the most shocking thing of all is that Smallville has been moved to the Friday night death slot! Also the vampires have taken over!

Do we even consider CW to be a network? They canceled one of their highest rated shows, Reaper.
 
Only one on there I'd watch is Supernatural.

I kept meaning to watch reaper, but it kept clashing with stuff over here.

If they're going to stick Smallville on Fridays you'd think they could at least pair it with another original show instead of just an encore of America's Next Top Model. But then they probably can't afford another scripted show. It's going to be very interesting to see what kind of ratings The Vampire Diaries pulls and whether this move will pay off or turn out to be foolhardy.
 
If it was called WC I would call it the White Chicks network. Maybe the Cunts and Whores Network?

It's the network that formed when WB and UPN mergered in the worst TV idea ever!

The CW hasn't managed to create one true break out hit of its own yet, unless you consider Gossip Girl a hit. They're not going to try on Fridays at 9. The fact that they actually abandoned the Gossip Girl spinoff with Lily for Vampire Diaries is telling. Dawn O and the suits must be praying really, really hard that the Twilight audience will tune in and give their network its first legitimately created hit free of WB/UPN history. They'll be in real trouble the season after this when Supernatural goes off the air because Kripke will leave after five seasons and the two leads want to leave after five seasons so as not to drag it out past its natural creative life.

Even more so since they'll also likely be without Smallville, which has been their top-rated show, in the 2010-2011 season. So they'll likely lose their top two shows without having developed anything of similar strength to replace them.
 
It amazes me that The CW continues to exist. This pathetic mess that they pass off as a "network" has been unable to achieve success since it was formed. I can only assume that the folks at Warner Bros. are trying to figure out how to distance themselves from The CW. Afterall, when they had The WB, they were somewhat successful. They produced hits like "Buffy", "Angel", "Dawson's Creek", "Felicity", "Gilmore Girls", etc. People actually watched the network. UPN, on the other hand, was a creative failure. Why and how former UPN president Dawn Ostroff was given the reigns of The CW instead of the people running The WB baffles my mind.

The CW is creatively bankrupt. From their promos to their hideous green graphics to their programming slate, the network has NOTHING new to offer. They slide by every year on the success of former-WB series like "Smallville" and "Supernatural". Their attempts at original programming involve shows about bitchy, bratty kids ("Gossip Girl") or re-makes of old shows ("90210" and "Melrose Place", which both feature bitch, bratty kids...hmm...). Exactly what kind of message is this network trying to send?

Warner studios needs a network to continue airing Smallville episodes, which earn it a pretty penny and will continue to earn it a pretty penny in second run syndication and DVD sales. With Supernatural airing in 48 foreign markets and counting already, they need a network for it, too. Once these two series end their runs, expect CW to fold.

One Tree Hill, which earns a pretty penny in syndication on SoapNet network, is also a Warner studios show, so CW staying in business now also puts money in Warners' pockets for every new episode produced. That's how OTH gets renewed averaging about 2.4 million for new eps (which is higher than Gossip Girl, BTW). OTH will be airing its seventh season this fall.
 
Tell me why are they bringing the another classic back on tv, Melrose Place? :wtf: It upsets me even more why the cw network are cancelling Reaper? It's my favorite show of all.
