Hi everyone,
A few years back (2012 maybe?), a user on this board helped take my simple pencil uniform drawings into a series of very nice-looking drawings based on the old Star Trek magazine's uniforms.
I was wondering if someone on this board who's better at digital art than I am would mind taking the male and female uniforms, and the Nemesis dress uniforms and make a few slight alterations for me based on some pencil sketches I made:
1. Service Dress Uniform: same as the regular uniforms, but has medals like Cartwright had, under the Starfleet commbadge, which is moved up slightly; the cuffs have black sections like the Captain's Alternate, but with rank stripes on it. My thought is also a gold stripe on the jacket flap and top of the black cuffs since it's the least-formal dress uniform. Arrowhead belt faces wearer's left, viewer's right. Silver trim for enlisted and warrant officers.
2. Full Dress Uniform: same as service dress uniform, but with the combination cover, white gloves; medals on the wearer's left breast under the commbadge, ribbons on the wearer's right breast; same gold trim on the jacket. For Service Dress and Full Dress, would having a pant stripe with gold trim at the seam look good? For these uniforms, silver trim for enlisted and warrant officers was my thought to distinguish them from commissioned officers. A full dress white is an optional uniform for some occasions.
3. Dinner Dress Black / Dinner Dress White Uniform: Nemesis dress uniform as a base, but no ribbed tunic. Has gold trim outlining the shoulder bar at the normal shoulder-bar height with pips in the Generations shoulder position; cuffs have the rank stripes and above them, a department color band outlined in gold trim showing years of service on the wearer's left arm, and right arm shows MOS pin. Pants have a department color stripe running down the outer seam, outlined either side by gold trim. The white tunic has department color piping like the Nemesis version, and a visible seam for the zipper like my alternate tunic. My thought here was possibly also a satin cumberbund in department color. The wearer has miniature medals under the commbadge. All commissioned officers wear a white shirt; the difference is white jacket/pants with white boots or black jacket/pants with black boots and white shirt. Here my thought is enlisted officers wear the gray shirt with silver trim; warrant officers have the white shirt with silver trim.
4. All-Weather Cloak: for foul weather conditions planetside, normal peacoat except being a wraparound with a collar without the lower collar points, falling to the user's knees; shoulder epaulettes with rank stripes; buttons are gold (officer) or silver (enlisted); belt around waist helps close the jacket; gloves are usually worn. Coat is black, trim of the jacket flap is department color, as is the collar top. Has pockets for the wearer's hands
5. Boat Cloak: Male or female optional item; the exterior is black and the interior is department color, falls to wearer's knees, worn with dinner dress black or dinner dress white. The cord is silver (enlisted) or gold (officer) with small Starfleet emblems on the collar on both sides in the corners of the collar.
6. Service Uniform (Cadet): gray instead of department color; rank stripe is the indication of the cadet's chosen department. Elongated pins indicate cadet's year
Hopefully this isn't too much. I appreciate your time and effort in helping with this request. Thank you!
