Yesterday I actually had a craving for chocolate. Managed to satisfy it with a pack of Zingers from the vending machine.
Currently, I have a bag of salted sunflower seeds with me that I bought sometime earlier this week. Only $0.99, and the nutrition facts label says there's about two servings inside, but it's taking me a long time to finish it! It's really more of a "Yay I'm munching on something tasty" satisfaction than a "Yay my stomach's full now" satisfaction, since all that gets digested is the little seeds inside the shells. Great for those times when I think I'm hungry but really I'm just bored.
Of course, unless I'm eating them outside (I'll pop in a mouthful before heading off to class sometimes) I have to keep an empty container of some sort with me to spit the shells into. In the dorm, it's an empty bag that once contained ranch-flavored Goldfish crackers. Elsewhere, it's the empty bottle to whatever beverage I buy while I'm out.
