They're not interchangeable in this context. One is an adjective (stricken) the other is a verb [trans] (struck). Try to swap another adjective and you see it don't work:

Both dictionaries I consulted list both stricken and struck as past participles of strike. See, e.g., http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/strike. Even so, I prefer it as "has been struck" in this context (probably because of the coincidence with the adjective form); however, see usage notes at http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/strike#Usage_notes for contrary usage.
