So I've been messing around with Doga-L3. I'm not very good at it, but I want to know what you guys think of this ship I made. I'm trying to think of what a Warp tug might look like, and this looks more like a ship built for speed, not really a work horse. Your opinions?

kinda like the first one myself though it looks more like a civilian cruiser then a tug. Don like the green one very much no idea why just dosent get me like the first one

Okay Kaz, you asked for it so here - "It sucks giant Ankellian Gorilla balls!"

Just kidding, I haven't mastered a simple planet or photo manip yet so to me I think they look great. There was some kind of Tug ship used in DS9 towing an Excelsior-class ship I think in season 6 and I think it was a robotic tug. If anyone remembers that refresh my memory.

Does anyone know if something similar to a tug was ever seen on screen?

Can't remember the specific episode, but it was somewhere in season seven of DS9. We see the federeation fleet limping back from a battle against the dominion, and there is a tug towing another starship. It's pretty early on: either the teaser, or after the first break during the episode titles.

Kaziarl - I like them both, from what I can see, but would appreciate a few more shots of the second ship to get a better idea of what she looks like.

As for the "warp tug" I like the design, but to be honest, she looks more like a fast, high warp courier ship to me. I think we saw a similar design (minus the warp nacelles and pylons) in ST:TMP as Kirk is entering Starfleet, but I could be wrong (it might have been ST:IV or some other movie where we see smaller ships around Spacedock or Starfleet Command). She looks great, but like I said, more as a fast courier than as a tug. Just my thoughts, for what they are worth (which according to "She Who Must be Obeyed" ain't much).

Looking forward to more stuff.:techman:

Thanks for the comments. And your right, the first one just looks to fast to be a tug. I would still imagine them have four nacelles, but not so sleek.

And I'll work on more views of the other ship. What I was trying to do was design a concept for a ship that uses the graviton catapult.
