Did they ever catch "Sqweegel" last year? or do you think he'll show up later this year?

Nope, they didn't catch him. He's a big, squeaky, black loose end.
From what I've heard and read, the creative staff have been talking about bringing Sqweegel back and there are hints it may be during season 12. However, I think they may have held off on that to see if Anthony Zuiker does anything with the character in his Level 26 novels.
