CSI-Miami promo flubbed

I think I've just about had it with CSI and the crime shows. I was a crime show junky, but I'm burnt out on it. I think a spell was broken when the writer's strike hit.

Thinking about it, was the strike the point where CSI: Miami went from ridiculous but entertaining to ridiculous and boring? Season 6 to me just seemed to go off a cliff, as if nobody involved was trying in the slightest any more. It wasn't even watchable in a cheesy way; all the stuff with Horatio's son and ex-lover was just dreadful.

I took the whole son thing as them channeling Star Wars. Darth Horatio, all in black, reveals himself to be the young blonde man's father on the long boat dock. The son rebeliously shouts back,"You're not my dad!"-all that was missing was a lightsaber battle and the Millenium Falcon. There was also the hallucinating dude that was shot in the head that kept seeing Obi-wan(The dead CSI agent). The ghost helps him through his recovery. Maybe that was the first season with the kid. The last season just had me lose my amusement.
