CRYING WOLF

So is the person posting these the filmmaker or involved with the production? You posted twice on the board and both times just to drop a video. Stop in and say hello!

Wow that was emotional and really good! What happened to the Constar? I hope the set itself is okay. And what did the title have to do with the story? Will there be a sequel? . I'm still confused about the 23rd 24rth century thing but a great story is timeless!

Lol Maurice I did just that as my phone finally logged in. I swear these fat fingers somedays.

Well lysian, the constar was destroyed by a member of the maquaii, much like Eddington on ds9, that was my inspiration. I would have loved to go down in a blaze of glory fighting the borg or jem-hadar but time and budget are always a factor. I think that's one reason I can get films out, I'm a realist in terms of what I can get accomplished. Sadly things were in the shape they were in, and that was the only story I could tell. But I'm very certain things will be better before you kno it, and much like the after wolf 359, the rebuilding will happen. So, positivity and faith will go a long way.
The title has to do with betrayal of the maquaii and loss of trust. There was no other title I could think of that felt personal to me than your crew member crying wolf, misleading your crew. To me star trek has always worked best when they are not "trek" stories, but just relatable stories that just happen to take place in the trek universe.
My character is just really old. I'll post all my films here eventually so it'll make sense. But all my films are just meant to be enjoyed on their own.
But, there is a context tho if you see it. Like I said, I'll post um all eventually. I have 27 right now. And 7 more coming before I walk away. I hope you'll enjoy um as much as I enjoyed doing them.

This was interesting. But I'd have given the guy something more visually interesting to do on board while he was ruminating than just wave his tricorder around over and over. Planting beacons, or downloading stuff from computer cores or whatever.

We couldn't do anything. There was no power. No nothing. This is broke filmmaking at is best lol to download something would have required power.

In a perfect world I would have had a few dead bodies but this was honestly just something we thru together given the circumstances we were in. There was no real plan beforehand. If we had some forethought, ya could have been a tad bit edgier. But I'm happi with how raw this was. It doesn't glorify anything

I thought this was an interesting fanfilm talking about the Maquis it was really interesting story. Thanks for posting it in this thread.

I'm curious, you seem to hopscotch between the TOS era and TNG era, is there any reason other than you like both? I see that TOS "you" seems to be the Minard character from Starship Valiant spun off into his own things, but do the characters from both have any relation apart from it being you due to budget necessity? (I guess you don't feel like shaving the beard off to give one of them something to differentiate them...
when's it going to be YOUR version of Kirk VS the Gorn?

Lol I explain that in the fan film project defiant the hill. There's a crystal that I have come in to contact with that will age me slower

My version of kirk vs the gorn.... I stroke a tribble in my upcoming fan film coming up lol that's the closest equivalent
