Create a new Voyager character

I think that we actually have come so far that we can present a new ship with a new crew.

A couple of years after Voyager's return to Earth, a new ship is sent out to explore the Delta Quadrant. The ship is called USS Delta Explorer and has the following crew.

Commander Cliff McLane from the German TV series "Raumpatrouille" (Space Patrol). The series is older than the solar system and rather primitve compared to today's filming and animations. But McLane is a good main character.

Lieutenant Keiran MacDuff as I wrote in another post. He would be a great Number One. He and McLane sometimes have different ideas about how to solve a situation but in the end they manage to come up with something effective.

Lieutenant Amelia Earhardt as the pilot. She would join the crew later on in the series when the Delta Explorer reaches the 37's planet.

Lieutenant Erasmus Kerry as suggested. Chief of Security. He would be the pilot before Earhardt's arrival and sort of action character together with McLane and MacDuff.

Lieutenant Gordon "Alf" Shumway Chief Engineer

Sheras The Andorian doctor

Ensign Doneta A Twi'lek at the OPS.

Wixiban as guide and Ambassador. He would also join after a couple of episodes. I think he needs a second chance after being abandoned in "Fair Trade"

Kes as Counselor. It wouldn't be me if I didn't involve her in some way.
Besides that, she also needs a second chance.

IF Amelia Earhardt ended up piloting a starship I think I would have to throw something at the screen.

Then again it's only pushing buttons

I have one, though - the events of Star Wars were "a long time ago in a galaxy far away", so maybe sometime between then and now - but long enough ago that they've forgotten a lot of their own origins - a group or groups of people migrated from that galaxy to the Milky Way, and these are some of their descendants.

This could also be used to draw a connection between the Breen and whatever people created the suit Leia was wearing when she arrived at Jabba's palace in ROTJ.

I would've made Neelix more like Galen from Crusade. Mysterious and powerful, as opposed to the bumbling comic relief we got.

But still creepy, right?

Sorry Galen from Crusade was waaaay worse than Neelix.

I feel I must also add that Galen in the techno-mage trilogy novels was a FANTASTIC character and not at all embarrassing and creepy like in Crusade. If you read the techno-mage trilogy and then watch Crusade you can kind of redeem him.

I don't mean the way Peter Woodward portrayed him, I merely mean have him with an interesting and mysterious back story. I didn't like how he appeared in the show either. Way too much ham and cheese acting.

Well, I just read through all the posts, saw that there were requests for so many characters and tried to fuse together the more realistic ideas for a new crew. Of course, I spiced it up with some of my own ideas too.
