Meet the world's toughest coyote.

Daniel East and his sister, Tevyn, were driving at night along Interstate 80 near the Nevada-Utah earlier this month, when their car slammed into a coyote that scurried in their path, reported Rex Features.

Believing there was no way the wild animal could survive the 75 mph collision, the pair kept driving for eight more hours to their destination, where they finally inspected the damage to their car.

So... you nail a Coyote with your car, and then drive 8 hours with it stuck in the grill before bothering to even casually have a look? That's some unique brain wiring. Besides, don't most people need to stop to use the restroom at some point during an 8 hour cruise? When they stopped at the 7-11 they must have left him stuck in there...

I've ran over rabbits and squirrels with my car before, small enough animal there's no need to inspect what happened the car is going to do far more damage to it than it to your car.

And it's possible to go to eight hours before needing to stop to pee, I've done it plenty of times.

I must admit if I was a passenger in a car I would insist that a driver stop if he had hit an animal. However in Australia this might be more needed than elsewhere as pouch-young often survive when the mother is killed.

Mmm. Nobody arounds here really stops if they drive over a possum...

Poor little guy.

He probably kept up with you for a mile or so.

Tough little mutt.

Poor animal, glad it survived. I'm with the folks wondering why someone didn't stop before the 8 hour mark. I hit anything with a car bigger than a soda bottle in the road, I"m stopping and checking for damage underneath the car or punctured tires.

Still, sounds like the plot for a sci-fi channel b-movie horror flick.

Why were Rusty's lines cut out?

I don't know. People on YouTube make some bizarre edits sometimes. I can understand it if it was a time or file size constraint, but that shouldn't have been an issue with this one.

I hate the ones that cut-off right in the middle of an important scene. You're only uploading one scene and you edit out the most important part?

I heard the news today that a Canadian folk singer (female) was killed by two coyotes while hiking alone. Now that sounds liek something out of a horror flick.

Yes, it was quite a shocking event - a friend of mine used to work at the park where it happened, and she said she's never heard of coyotes attacking anyone. Sure they come up to people (because the people in question are stupid and offer them food....) but they run like crazy when you make any sudden movement...
