Written by my pal Scott Tipton and his brother/ partner-in-scribe David, with art by David Messina of the Star Trek prequel fame, Reflections looks to be set in the new, post-film timeline established by the rebooted continuity. It should hit shelves sometime around July, just in time for the San Diego Comic-Con.

From what I understand, Spock Reflections is set in the "old" timeline. (Isn't that being called "Harold"?) It's supposed to explore Spock's life and why he abandoned Vulcan for Romulus. So you could say that it's a prequel to Countdown. (Wouldn't that be the Movie Prequel Prequel?)

The solicit information for the first issue in the May Previews (which won't hit stands for a week and a half) describes a post-"Unification," pre-Countdown storyline. So it's not "rebooted continuity," it's backfilling from Countdown.

One of the things that felt the most wrong about the comic was its portrayal of the Vulcans. The did not feel like the 24th century Vulcans, but the 22nd century Vulcans. They are secretive and seem very vengeful when it comes to saving the Romulans. It was also weird that they have a Praetor, when I cannot ever remember them having such a position in the High Command.
