Anything good ?

There is a brief afterward by Kurtzman & Orci
It starts with: We are all very pleased...
WHOOPS! Wrong guys!
The notion that we'd be called to serve Star Trek is something we never dared dream. This book has had particular meaning to us in that we fell in love with Star Trek through the characters of The Next Generation. The longest summer of our lives was waiting to find out how Captain Riker and the amazing crew of the Enterprise were going to defeat their former Captain, Jean-Luc Picard after his transformation into Locutus of Borg.
We don't expect to ever feel the same level of anticipation again, but perhaps we can create some for new fans. That is the intention of this book... to take a ride with a beloved crew that no one believed would ever match the original and to pay homage to their stewardship of a thing called Star Trek. Their journey now takes us back to the beginning.
Roberto Orci & Alex Kurtzman
The series itself doesn't specify though Spock does state he's lived on Romulus for twenty years. So I guess twenty years after Unification.
Then fourty years was indeed a mistake. That caused some speculation about Countown taking place in the 25th century and the stardate being a mistake. I'm glad they got that straight.
I hope they also got rid of that typo when Romulus was spelled Romulas
According to the stardate, Countdown is taking place seven years after Nemesis.
I've just been re-watching trailer two (first theatrical one), and I wonder if the Narada going through time there is the same as in the comic?
We certainly see the Narada going through time 'twice' in the trailers, once going in from the left hand side (same as the comic) and once coming out via the right-hand side.
Also, in the 23rd century, will the black hole remain and be like some sort of wormhole? Or will it disappear as soon as they emerge?
Finally, since Spock entered the black hole after Nero, will he emerge in a later time frame, or follow him straight out?
So many questionsMost of them contradicting each other as well...

Yes, it's the same Narada - how many of those ships with a captain named Nero exist, eh?
Dunno, watch me movie.

There's a related Spock comic coming! Andrew Harris said: "... a Spock book entitled "Reflections" set in the new movie era (Tiptons & Messina, if I'm not mistaken)"
