Could you survive?

Bingo.
9mm pistol whatever model I had lying around.
5.56mm rifle, whatever model I had access to.
12 gauge shotgun.
I would use those because they have the most common ammunition types, and hence the best chance at finding reloads. And because I have extensive experience with all three rounds from my time in the military.

My family is almost 10000 miles from me now so I would be devastated. How would I ever see them again or even find out they were unharmed? I don't have any expertise whatsoever to to cross the ocean and travel all the way to them by myself. I guess my best bet is to find some sort of government or scientific organization. Hopefully after a while, they would rebuild and think of solutions. Yep, I'm would certainly never be that hero.
Best thing you could do is call them and tell them to travel with a group and be careful. As for going with a government or scientific organization, I don't know. I think you'd be better off with the population left over in a group or traveling by yourself to the docks, find a boat with a navigation system and plot the course home with supplies you picked up on the way.
I would be pretty screwed. My first thought would be to head to Wal-Mart which is the closest source for guns in the area, but I'm sure everybody else would have the same idea and there may be none left by that point. I'd probably get eaten by a zombie on the way there.

You can us a bat. A hatchet. Anything that can case damage to the head.
The best thing to do is build a battle suit out of clothes and supplies in your house. This way if zombie bite, it doesn't break skin.
Then go to walmart, there is hammers, and bows. Everyone might not get the chance.

Realistically I'm probably not athletic enough to kill a zombie with anything other than a gun. Maybe if my life depended on it, but I doubt it.
I'm also shorter than average height so any zombies I encounter are likely to have a physical advantage over me (not to mention the zombie strength).

I'm not too worried about it. My chance-o-meter says there's only a 1 in 10,000,000,000 chance of a zombie apocalypse anyway.
Hell, no. The minute the wi-fi went down and Tesco ran out of Buenos I'd be screwed.
On the other hand, I've always been intrigued by post-apocalyptic survival stories since I first read Z is for Zachariah as a kid. I have a secret yearning to wake up one morning in a post-apocalptic world. Having said that, I know for certain that I'd struggle with the lack of society.
I plan to build an army of robots to fight the zombies.
Gather the few weapons I have, some supplies and water to last me a bit, and the few truly indispensable things I've got.
Break into the local car dealerships and steal a sturdy pickup to get me where I'm going. And then gather the guns and other weapons I can find. Steal a Camaro from another car dealership when settled in somewhere.
Try and find a good spot where I and my compadres can rig up a good alarm system around the perimeter.
Definitely travels with others, can't stand being alone for prolonged periods of time. Would probably get my uncle who's a hunter and knows how to skin animals.

I could not survive. I get frustrated if I take the wrong exit on the fucking INTERSTATE. If any kind of apocalypse were to go down, I'd be wallowing in despair within a minute.
I would try to find out if there could be any way of offing myself without becoming a zombie (AFAIK, the only way to do so in a Romero-verse zombie film, and possibly The Walking Dead, is to shoot oneself in the head - all other forms of death lead to zombification), then I would do that very thing.
