Could the LOST island be Manhattan island in the distant future?

I was just thinking about the temporal anomolies shown by the Island.

Also consider the huge statute that Rashid saw on the boat with the 3/4 toes.

Could they have gone thru a time fracture and could it be actually Manhattan or Long Island in the distant future after humans have gone extinct ro to the stars?

Consider also that Ben said some of the original inhabitants could live forever.
