Linking TOS to the 2009 is about as credible as linking the original GALACTICA with Moore's GALACTICA. It's apples and oranges.

In your opinion. In my opinion, it did a great job capturing elements of TOS that have been lost in subsequent series, such as the original show's commitment to a naturalistic filmmaking style (it's just that 2000s naturalism is different from 1960s naturalism), and such as the original's sense of fun and adventure.

But your opinion and mine are both irrelevant to the topic of this thread, as I've explained, so you have no valid reason to keep talking about it here. You can believe that the two versions are fundamentally separate if you want, but how does that prevent you or anyone else from addressing the hypothetical question of whether Kirk Prime could've followed a similar career path?
