Cosmostrator and other stuff...

Did you remember that one of the three legs has a conveyor belt instead of stairs? Also, wasn't the red light already off by the time the ramps came down?

Great; now I have to watch Forbidden Planet yet again!

A classic flying saucer! Maybe Robert April served on one when he was a cadet?

I would think that it would have to include nacelles of some sort.
- Unless, it was an experiment with coleopteric (or ring) warp drive similar to that which the Vulcans used? The warp drive would be in the thinnest part of the saucer encircling the ship?

Yeah, I thought it looked somewhat dull without the red lighting.

I am presently considering a mild redesign of the C57D with the idea of how it might have worked in TOS, but also how it could have been a bit more credibly detailed in the original film.

What about the Dalek flying saucer seen in the 1960s movie Daleks invasion Earth 2150 AD.?

If you scroll does this page to the entry near the bottom where it discusses "60’s Movie Dalek Saucer", you will see vidcaps from the movie. This Dalek saucer seems to have a car-like design sensibility.

Most definitely, Warped 9. FP makes a darn better back story for Trek than First Contact or ST Enterprise ever did.

Ah, the Gemini 12 from the unaired pilot, "No Place to Hide"

(For those puzzled, the larger viewport is the telltale difference from the production era Jupiter 2.

The lower part of the saucer is also more shallow. Additionally (on the exterior miniature) the main hatch does not line up properly with the interior arrangement. It's off by a few degrees.

These are incredible Warped9! Especially the B&W ones which look like they could have been taken straight from the TV series! In a Lost In Space Remastered sort of way if that makes any sense.
