Copa América Centenario 2016

The 100-year anniversary edition of the Copa América is currently underway in the US.

It's something of an odd duck - being hosted outside of CONMEBOL, out of sync with the "regular" Copa América (and CONCACAF Gold Cup) schedule, with a number of players staying out due to Olympic commitments.

Is anyone here keeping tabs on it?

I watched the Brazil/Peru match last night. I was rooting for Peru and I'm glad Brazil won't get past the group stage, but it sucks that it happened the way it did. I hope this leads to video review in the future but I'm not holding my breath.

I have to say I'm loving that both the Euro and Copa America are happening at the same time. Euro matches during the day, Copa matches at night. :techman:

You got a Job ?

That was depressing to say the least. I get that they were three starters down, but that was awful. Alexi Lawless was fuming during the post-game and I don't blame him. Argentina put on a clinic, and that Messi goal was nothing short of artwork.

I don't think many people really expected the US to beat Argentina, but yeah, it would have been nice if they'd put up a better fight, though.

Still, a shot at third place in the Copa America ain't bad.
