Cool is defined as the best overall combination and fusion of fighting prowess, leadership, cunning/intellect, honor, and aura of badassery. Note that any one characteristic doesn't have to predominate---it's the best combo. It's still subjective, though. You can pick two.

Kruge

He had the coolest gear and dog and when he choked the living shit out of that worm, just to amuse himself, he was so over-the-top, in a very entertaining way. And his Men all called him, "My Lord," which tells you a lot about his leadership, right there. I just wish he hadn't have been so singularly obsessed with Genesis, all the time. It would've been great giving him other areas of concern and more evidences of being a badass, but ... still in all ... not a bad showing.

I voted for Kruge as well. I mean, a planet is falling apart around him and he still wants Genesis! That single-minded pursuit of victory really did impress me as positive.

I wanted to vote for Gowron as my other but I just can't get away from Kor being a Dahar Master whose tactical prowess flatly awed Martok, a general and no minor tactician himself no doubt. Plus I think of John Colicos and damn.

I didn't forget Koloth, but I decided I had to cut it off somewhere. I left out K'Ehleyr too. Maybe I should have included him.

I think Kang has the edge over Kor for coolness, myself, but I do like Kor. He seemed rather thoughtful, for a TOS Klingon ...

I voted for Kang.

The TOS Klingons had it tougher, those actors didn't have all the latex and fancy makeup and crazy costumes to hide behind, they had to actually act.

Ice cold cool is Kruge. Chang ain't far behind. Kurn -- at the height of his powers -- should also get an honourable mention.

"Are you adjusting to your new environment, Commander?"
"I find the constraints a bit difficult to conform to. Just a short while ago I had to stop myself from killing Commander Riker."

I like a lot of them, but I just dig Martok's style too much not to vote for him. Dude is fly as hell.

B'Elanna, Lursa, B'Etor, K'Ehleyr: All fail to make the cut?

I was just about to ask....

Although K'Elhleryr did not identify as Klingon and as a person of mixed heritage myself it's up to her and not anyone else to make that determination.

For the record it also used to bug me that people identified B'Elanna as Klingon even though she was half human. Why?

Sorry...that's another thread.

On a ship full of humans, that's what stands out. If she were on a Klingon ship, she might get called human.
