Spoilers Cool Seeing Rarer Aliens in LD

Are you paying by the word to reply in this thread?

I’ve been on this BB for a long time and have used TrekCore, Ex Astris Scientia, (anyone remember PsiPhi or TrekWeb?), for news and reference, but I haven’t participated in other communities much...am I missing out?

EDIT: Also, I recently started getting into the Inglorious Treksperts podcast which is great to listen to while I’m driving or doing things. Anyone participate in other communities or visit other resources?

You asked how it compared. I answered. Is there more that is needed? :vulcan:

I personally have used ditl.org's forums initially, as well as the official Star Trek.com boards (back in the day) and have had the best experience here. I use Reddit occasionally, but it simply been as personable or engaging as here.

Others will no doubt have other experiences.

In the first two episodes we saw a Napean, Ariolo, Evora, Aurelian, Vendorian, Lurian... It was so great to see these “minor“ aliens again. My inner geek was practically dancing with glee.

In the second episode “Envoys” we saw more non-humanoids too — including the afore-mentioned Vendorian and a new centaur-like-oid. So cool!
The centaurs are not new. They are from the TOS movies but I do not remember their names

I agree I think is great and they are giving us insights into how colonies/Worlds are very much multi-species.

I hope we get to see the Selay and Anticans again. I think 'Lonely among us' is one of the first episodes of TNG i remember watching as a kid and I've always had a soft spot for those guys. Also hoping we get to some tholians.

The centaurs are the aforementioned Ariolo, unless there were more than one centauroid in the episode that I missed.

...Of course, they weren't centaurs in ST4:TVH yet - while they are admittedly seated in stalls there, they are definitely seated, there not being room there for a second pair of legs, or for any sort of a butt in noticeable excess of Hollywood standards.

That is, unless the two representatives there were relatively uncommon Shetland Ariolos, chosen for their role due to their compatible dimensions and exceptional patience with immature people.

Love to see a Sulamid from Diane Duane's Novels. 3 Meter tall stalk of Tentacles and Eye Balls :)
