Spoilers Cool Seeing Rarer Aliens in LD

In the first two episodes we saw a Napean, Ariolo, Evora, Aurelian, Vendorian, Lurian... It was so great to see these “minor“ aliens again. My inner geek was practically dancing with glee.

In the second episode “Envoys” we saw more non-humanoids too — including the afore-mentioned Vendorian and a new centaur-like-oid. So cool!

I don't understand. The Vendorian wasn't a background alien. He was integral to the plot and referenced onscreen.

You didn't mention that you had limited your post to the discussion of just background aliens, nor was that the topic of the thread, so....

The greatness of animation. Drawing an alien is the same amount of time as drawing a human so no limit like makeup or expense to limit the amount.

Okay. I just thought it was a cool observation made by MA founder Harry Doddema on his Twitter. Not every post is an attack on the show.

I was going to say maybe Doddema was just being funny (Evora, tailheads, and Lurians among others were also background aliens too), but Antarans were also in it......Andorians, Antarans, Arcturians, Ariolo, Aurellians....maybe there’s something to it? Then again, I liked all of those aliens without having to look them up soooo.

It’s kind of okay with me if they keep at it and in 26 episodes get through the entire alphabet. Gimme some Xelations, Xepolites, Xindi, and Xyrillians.
