The show stars Rachel Nichols (Alias, Criminal Minds) as Kiera Cameron, a “CPS Protector” from the year 2077. When a group of fanatical terrorists escape their planned execution and travel back in time to the present day, Cameron is swept along with them.

Sounds alot like Time Trax. Might be interesting.

Well the plot does sound similiar to Time Trax.

It Began in the future, criminals who vanish, a time machine called Trax.

It's been what almost 20 years since that show premiered?

I'm a bit on the fence with this based on the previews, but it might actually have a chance to survive solely because it's not being backed by the network television suits. I can't fucking stand the generic cop/lawyer/doctor procedurals, so I'm always glad to see shows that step away from those tired formulas.

As a huge fan of the lovely Rachel Nichols I've been looking forward to this show for a while now. ;)

I'd rather see a show about a bunch of fanatical terrorists and a cop travelling to the year 2077, but i'll certainly try it out.

It's strange, I'm almost 100% certain that's Tony Amendola (Bra'tac on Stargate) in that trailer, yet IMDB doesn't have him credited as being in this (neither on his page or the show's page).

Yep that's Tony. The preview looks no better or worse than anything on Syfy, I suppose. If it were set in the future, I'd be more likely to bother with it, but that would require it have a budget.

Though other stars that have appeared in Sci-Fi shows appearing in the series

Roger R. Cross - Joshua in "First Wave"
Lexa Doig -"Andromeda" , "SG-1"

Shit, you people are still obsessing on Sunday?

The civilized world is already waking up to Monday morning birdsong.

I looked up the show on wikipedia and the quaint bit they got going on is that all the episode titles have the word "time" mashed in there almost always awkwardly.

Did you ever get a look at all the awful puns they used for the titles of Remington Steel Episodes?

The premise seems interesting and I have enjoyed Rachel Nichols for awhile. I think will be for sure checking this out.

Just saw the first episode. It doesn't seem too formulaic and it had a good hook at the end. It's almost like Time Trax, but our lead character, played by Rachel Nichols, isn't sending anyone back to the future. And with only 8 or 9 convicts on the loose and a 10-episode order, it looks like Nichols' character can have them all dealt with by the end of the season. If that's the case, that could allow the show to evolve if it's renewed. And for those who wanted a show that takes place in the future, you'll get your wish. Sort of. Nichols' character has a built in memory device that allows her to interact with her memories of life in the future. It's like a built-in holodeck. She "revisits" her family, but these memories/simulations could also allow her to revisit other personal or work related memories and put together clues about to what these convicts have planned. I'll be tuning in to see where it goes.
