As much as I thought Xorn was cool, I don't see why they had to bring him back...I thought it was cruel irony that he was Magneto in disguise...
I had to look it up, so I thought you were serious.![]()
if Marvel hadn't been in full panic mode, they could have blamed the recently released Shadow King for that mess... too bad Quesada spends most of his time thinking of brilliant plots like Brand New Day...
Not to mention totally senseless and illogical on many levels.

Hardly, Morrison waved Xorn's true identity in our faces for almost his entire run. My reaction to the reveal, while not quite on the same level as "Okay, Echo just killed Elektra... Why is she green ? What's up with her ears... Hold on, that's a Skrull... Elektra's a Skrull ? Elektra's a f***ing Skrull ?!?!?" was still one of shock and amazement.
On another forum nearer the time we picked through everything that had happened on Morrison's run and never found one thing that Xorn did with his "gravity powers" that Magneto couldn't have done.
^Using which of Emma's powers, exactly ? Neither are telekinetic and Magneto had the best teacher in the world when it comes to blocking telepathic powers.
Maybe, but it's also remarkably short-sighted. Say it hadn't been stopped and one kid survives before the camps are liberated, then grows up to pass Project Wideawake in the Senate as vengeance against Magneto killing his family. It's an endless cycle, and Magneto is much smarter than that. In fact, his tactical ability (when he's written well) should be on par with Steve Rogers and Nick Fury, not a genocidal Elmer Fudd.Magneto having been held in concentration camp increases rather than the chances of him doing it to humans.
Is it wrong that I don't even read X-Men but that entry made my head spin?
I can't believe no one has retconned Norman's kids with Gwen yet!
In JMS's defense he wanted the kids to be Peter and Gwen's. Still a bad idea but not as bad as when Joey Q got his hands on it and ordered him to make the dad Norman because this would suggest Peter was "old". Quesada hates true love and especially marriage and this was his attempt to shit all over Gwen Stacy's memory.I can't believe no one has retconned Norman's kids with Gwen yet! Although I think I did see no JMS on Spider-Man...I would go further and suggest no Joe Q interfering or suggesting plots or story arcs that further go to inflame fans alike!
So do I overall. Sinestro Corp was fucking bad ass. I like the way he brought back the epic mythology. I just think Hal is such a blah character and he could have done all he wanted to do with Kyle instead, a character I find much more interesting and has much more potential for growth.I actually like what Geoff Johns has done on Action Comics and Green Lantern...
Typical in that it's just a glorified love letter to himself. To me he wrote some pretentious crap, had a Justice League run, then wrote more pretentious crap. The guy is his own biggest fan and genuinely believes he is the end all be all of comic book writers. I almost prefer Winnick, because yes the Jason Todd thing was horrible, but at least Winnick isn't dangerously in love with himself to the point of meglomania.Batman R.I.P. is your typical weird ass Grant Morrison story that results in splitting fandom, I'm digging it so far. Although I agree about the Damian thing...although Morrison admitted he hadn't known that Bruce and Taila had consenual sex in Son of the Demon and he wasn't drugged.
It could have been nothing but blank pages and it still would have sold well based on his name alone. Turning the voice of morality of the team into a moral degenerate and shitting on 30 years of character continuity and mythology isn't something I particularly enjoyed. It's like Superman leaving Lois for Poison Ivy. Fuck Grant Morrison.New X-Men whether anyone likes it or not helped the sales on the slumping franchise. Do you remember the god awful lag we were in on both Spider-Man and X-Men prior to Grant Morrison and JMS coming on board...granted some of those stories were disapointing. How the hell many times can you kill Jean Grey and bring her back? Emma Frost brought a new dimention to Scott never mind how it happened. I hated the Spider Tomb storyline and the Other...doesn't matter now that Brand New Day essentially reversed those events and made them irrevelent.
Emma had been good (albeit hard-edged) for about ten years before Morrison put her on the team. It's like Superman leaving Lois for Poison Ivy.
