Continuity errors in movies:Your favorites

Here's a recent example. In Enchanted (which I just saw this weekend), Patrick Dempsey's hair changes during the Italian restaurant scene. Later, his hair changes a couple of times during a scene at the law office. :wtf:

Of course, all kinds of magical events take place in this film, so the director probably didn't think we'd notice that it has issues of hair continuity.

Independence Day
Jeff Goldblum opens the fridge to get some wine. It's completely stocked with food. He opens it again, it's empty. In the same scene! What happened to the food! BTW, its in the July 4th section of ID4, just before they use nuclear missles on the alien craft.

I think the worse error is Goldblum is able to hack the alien ship using a Mac!

Humans can barely understand Macs, let alone aliens.

Reality went out the window the minute aliens appeared in the movie, so that didn't bother me.

What about using the exact same Klingon BOP explosion in Generations from The Undiscovered Country? It wasn't even edited. Even that Klingon running from the firey explosion in the ship is there. They didn't think Trek fans would notice that HUGE mistake? I still love that movie, but the final explosion makes me cringe each time. That's another reason I'm excited for this new movie. No recycled footage is possible. Everything will be new.

Not a "continuity error" -barely a production error. Nice try.

On the subject of Insurrection, we can't forget the mystery of the disappearing Son'a soldier on the holoship.

Maybe. Though it is possible the centry was hologram.

The entire genesis of the Alien 3 plot. Just how the hell did that egg get on the Sulaco anyway??

There is a new game for the X-Box360 coming out called Colonial Marines that will answer this. Apparently the rumor in the script is that Bishop had collected an egg for analysis by the company when he left the platform.

Yeah, it's possible, but that makes for a lousy gaurd when Picard can turn him off at any time.

But you'd have to *kmow* it was a hologram in order to know to circumvent it by turning him off.

For that matter, I'm not entire sure *why* they turned the program off other than to... "proove" to the audiance it was a hologram? To show off the nifty effect?

I saw World of the Worlds today (the Tom Cruise version) and at the start the teenage son, is wearing a Red Sox cap, with the Boston logo on the front, after an argument with his Dad, he turns around & walks away, only you can see the Boston logo on the back of the cap.
