Contemporary Christian Music (General Thread)

After posting "The Coloring Song" above, I was reminded of another Petra hit I love, called "More Power To Ya". Here's a clip of them performing it live, from 2013.

Another great tune I first heard as a child is known as "The Coloring Song", by the band Petra. As the title implies, the lyrics use various colors to explain the different attributes of God and Jesus.
One of my mom's favorite songs.

And another band that I enjoy, Seventh Day Slumber:

And another artist, Josiah Queen, is very fun:

Here's another great song, by Michael W. Smith. This one is more outright worship in tone, but with a slight pop edge. Enjoy!

The Gospel/Barbershop Quartet sound just irks me for some reason.

The most heavenly music you will ever hear?

Patrick O’Hearn’s instrumental album INDIGO.

This is why I like more rock than gospel. Some songs I enjoyed back in college :)

And my friends and I would blast this all the time:

I've listened to this song many times over the course of my life, but even more so during the past few months since I've been going through a lot of life challenges. Randy Phillips, Shawn Craig, and Dan Dean are a trio of pastors and friends who also work together as musicians; in my opinion, this is probably their greatest number. For anyone who listens to it, I hope it touches you like it has for me.
