ConfusedMatthew takes on "Minority Report"

I've been watching the Confused Matthew Videos all day, and I think he's one of my "more favorite" internet reviewers, though he's in a distand third of like four of five.

His skewering of the Star Wars prequels pretty much says everything I've been saying for 10 years.

There's been some things he's said (mostly in the First Contact review) I don't disagree with and I see fallacies in his logic and understanding from time-to-time but he's complaints for the most part more-or-less make sense.

But, man, his voice grates a bit. Get your balls to drop, dude.

Yeah, you know my problem with the Prequels?

Chiefly, that they resulted in those reviews. Those are just horrible. The endless repeititon, whining, and then the agonizing bitch fest that is his Revenge of the Sith review - I couldn't finish the last one, it was excruiating. Forget Jar-Jar, Lucas needs to apologize for inadvertently causing those videos to be made.

(Y'see, this is why RedLetterMedia's TPM review was so refreshing, it actually said a lot about the film that was interesting, some of which I'd never considered before, and also decided to include humour instead of stupidity.)

That's a big issue here. I can forgive someone for being a moron a lot quicker than I can for them being annoying as sin.

Why, thank you, but I'll admit I probably sound like a petulant brat too. What can I say? I'm a pathetic nerd who likes letting off steam.

It is one thing to do it on a message board. It is a different thing entirely if you are trying to become an "internet celebrity".

I just discovered Confused Matthew, and I think he's funny. I don' always agree with him, but I enjoy his rants.

Same here, minus the just discovering him part. I especially like his rants on Star Wars Episodes II & III, the Matrix sequels, and his high praise for Watchmen.

Though I still can't figure out why he didn't completely trash Nemesis (as he did with Generations and First Contact)....

To be fair, the Matrix sequel reviews were good. He was on better than average ground, because for all his flaws in logic he is admittedly well read philosophically-speaking and exactly grasps the sort of nonsense that is at the heart of the Matrix's grandstanding attitudes.
