I'm just now listening to the review from popular YouTube critic Confused Matthew. Normally, I respect his opinions on films - particularly the SW prequel and Matrix sequels - but his opinions on Trek seem to be contrary to that of everybody I know. I'm not surprised he didn't like the film considering his ranting hatred of just the trailer! However, the guy also has a video that adamently defends Nemesis!
I agree with a few of his opinions regarding the plot. However, he goes on and on about Nero having no real motivations - and for some reason in video 3 seems to indicate that Nero has a fully funcional time machine. I'm not sure where people got this idea from, but Nero didn't have the option to go back to prior to Romulus' destruction and prevent it! Sure, he could have sat around and waited that long, but the guy didn't seem stable enough to do so.
His opinion on the film being generic and giving us nothing to care about seemed odd, again considering he thought Shinzon was a great villian.
