Well, according to the article, Trek XI has been replaced by Star Trek the Musical opening on Broadway next summer. JJ Abrams is quoted as saying that since the stagehand strike is over and the writer's strike isn't this was the only way to go and not cross picket lines.

The big hit song is supposed to be "It ain't easy Being Vulcan".

I dunno, I don't think it sounds promising...

He also may insist on singing "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds" during intermission.

Last I heard, he's in it, doing a spoken word version of "The Real Slim Shady". I don't know how that works -- unless he's a rapper in his spare time. I'm a fan of Eminem, but this doesn't sound like a good combination.
