Comics you would like to see that will never happen?

Yes, more Early Voyages. And Captain Sulu, there's way too little Captain Sulu out there. Seriously, Captain Riker has his own novel series, why has Sulu only two or three novels (and some audio dramas from way back when)?

Sulu novels have traditionally not sold well.

A Titan comic would be awesome.
I would love more comics set in the novelverse. Especially if we got appearances by the Lit characters from Titan, the current TNG cast, Aventine and/or the current Voyager cast. Vanguard would be nice too.

From what I remember, those audio dramas rarely took place aboard the Excelsior.

And the thing about Cacophony is that the CD had only one track. You had to listen to it all the way through. If you had to stop it for any reason, you had to put it on pause until you were ready to listen to it again, otherwise you would lose your place.

I just thought of one other thing that I would love to see that I am almost certain will never happen, a Star Trek/Star Wars crossover.

I wish that Planet of the Apes crossover never happened. I can think of hundreds of other crossovers I'd rather read.

I'm actually a huge fan of both franchises, and I'm really looking forward to reading it, but at the same time, it would not have been one of my choices of franchises for Trek to crossover with.

I'm just saying, of all the things to cross over with, why Planet of the Apes? It's like it was drawn randomly out of a hat that also contained Space: 1999, Blake's 7, V: The Final Battle, The Prisoner and Red Dwarf.

But unlike these other old productions, Planet of the Apes enjoyed a recent reboot and sequel to that reboot. It's a current franchise. That's my guess.

Plus, the other examples may not be widely known outside of fan circles.

I actually was surprised by how grounded the first issue of Star Trek/PotA was. It feels genuinely TOS-y. And I rather liked the art style. In all honesty though, I really wish IDW would cut back on the crossovers. I know that IDW makes a lot out of Licensing and that the crossovers generate revenue from both fan bases, but they're never usually that good. Trek/Legion of the Super-Heroes was actually fun but TNG/Doctor Who was abysmal. I wouldn't mind if we never saw another Crossover of Trek with another property. All due to respect to VegasLover, but as someone who liked a fair bit of those properties they mentioned, I would not want to see any crossovers between them and Trek.

There's also a current ongoing Planet of the Apes comic (from Boom), which isn't true for any of those other properties.

Plus, none of those other things would lead to KIRK WRESTLING A TALKING GORILLA. (This had better happen, Tiptons.)

I dunno, a Trek/Prisoner crossover has some potential.

"Who are you?"
"The new Number Two."
"Who is Number One?"
"That's her over there."
"Oh. Well, then."

They were probably going for name recognition. Many of my friends wouldn't recognize any of those shows/franchises but all of them have at least seen the original Planet of the Apes.

Though, I wouldn't mind seeing a Star Trek/Red Dwarf crossover.
