Comic Book Collection DVD-Rom technical question

I'd like to put some of the .pdf files from my Star Trek comic book dvd-rom collection on to my iPod touch but I can't seem to figure out how to do it.

I can move my pictures from my laptop to my iPod but not other files (like the .pdfs from the collection). I thought I would just export .jpgs from the comic book .pdf files but the .pdf files won't allow me to export.

I don't care if I have .jpgs or .pdfs on the iPod, I'd just like to get a few of them on there so I can read them on the plane. Any recommendations on the best way to do this?

The simplest method is to mail a PDF to yourself and open it from the Mail app on your touch. There are also apps that let you sync files to your touch, including PDFs. If you google "read pdf on ipod touch" you'll get a bunch of links describing such apps.
