I used to post at Comicbookresources with a transformer name and avatar but whatever cool thing the forum part of the site had went to sh*t a long time ago. There was some kind of inner war going on between moderators and fans about how the site would be run. It's not like here where I found the moderators to be very reasonable, even when I crossed the line on trekbbs I've been given warnings and found the moderation here to be very fair. Over there was some war between fanboys and you could see the mods butting head > with each other Mod vs Mod, plus there is something just a little too goofy about some of these comic communities where fans are just dying to rub elbows with artists and critical response is frowned on. Comixtreme was good but its not that active anymore, Comicvine has good interviews and vids but their forum layout sucks. The site ign.com has a good news section, SuperHeroHype I only heard of today but I think it looks great. The only comic sites I read now are the official Marvel forum and the official WB-DC forum. They are actually very open and allow criticism of writers and their tv shows and the moderation is top notch at the official sites so you won't see any spamers.
