Comedy Central renews Futurama: 26 eps!

How was the return season? I only managed to catch a few minutes of it here and there, but I just added it to my instant queue on Netflix.
 
^ Overall, pretty good. There were a few missteps, but also a few legitimate classics, most notably "The Late Phillip J. Fry," in my opinion.

Oh, and this is fantastic news, obviously. :techman:

It's probably in the top ten of the show, it is really good.

I enjoyed the show a lot.

Fringe and Futurama both got full seasons (Futurama being two 13 episode seasons) in the same day.

LOVE IT. Futurama was easily one of the two best show to ever be cancelled on Fox.
 
Excellent news! How long until we get new episodes? This summer? Because the initial order was 26 of which we've only seen half, right?

Absolutely. I've lost track the number of times I've watched that episode already. The rest of the season is good to great.

Whoa! I hadn't heard Fringe got renewed, too! I was just thinking about that last night, too...
 
As much as I love Futurama, I hope the writing is a bit more consistently good than last season. Some episodes really clicked, but the majority fell flat.
 
I mostly enjoyed the new season, but I think there were a few hiccups here and there. My hope is that it was just because everyone was trying to get back into the swing of things, and everything after that first batch of eps will be stronger.

Right, Futurama will have at least 39 more episodes, 13 this year (no date yet) plus the 26 new ones.:drool:
 
I have been reading Futurama has been picked up for 13 more episodes (whatever season they decide to call it) with an optional 13 more, and not an outright 26 episodes.

Have we gotten official world from Fox yet?
 
Watched it the first night they premiered the new episodes. Me and the wife, who are both big fans, were severely disappointed with it and haven't watched any new episodes since.
